2022 Napa Valley White Wine
This is the wine that really put Matthiasson on the map, back in 2005. It is our attempt at getting at the core of what white wine is all about, the archetypal “white wine,” thus the name. It is a blend of grapes originally from Italy and France: Sauvignon Blanc, Ribolla Gialla, Semillon and Tocai Friulano.

2021 Napa Valley Ribolla Gialla, Matthiasson Vineyard
Ribolla Gialla makes an unparalleled food wine, filling the gap in food pairing between white wines and red wines, especially when fermented on the skins—this “orange wine” is amazing with pork and stewed pome fruit, fatty raw seafood, cured meats, and intense cheeses.

2023 Napa Valley Scheurebe
RARE GEM! From an old-vine vineyard in St. Helena (planted in the early 70s) that is farmed organically. This is a very special wine that we only had the opportunity to make in this one vintage as the vines were ripped out after the 2023 harvest. The nose explodes with passion fruit and guava, followed by a light and easy mid-palate and a mineral finish, perfect for summertime.

2022 Napa Valley Pinot Noir, Cressida Vineyard
As long-time lovers of Pinot Noir we often feel the call to produce one of our own. Until now, we didn’t have our own Pinot Noir vineyard, so we purchased grapes. In 2022 it was with great satisfaction that we were able to make wine from our own grapes, from older vines planted on our new Cressida Vineyard. This Pinot Noir shows all the floral aromatics, red fruits, tangy acidity, and earthy depth that would be expected from cool climate California coastal Pinot Noir.

2021 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
In the tradition of Cabernet Sauvignon, ours is a blended wine and includes a small amount of other Bordeaux varieties to complete the wine. For complexity and balance our Cab is composed of fruit from six vineyards throughout the Napa Valley. The three AVAs are Coombsville for structure and black fruit, Rutherford for savory Cabernet characters and bright fruit, and Oak Knoll for soft fruit. It is a Napa Cab of the old school, age-worthy, complex, and begging for a steak off the grill.

2021 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, Dead Fred Vineyard
This single-vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon is uncommonly structured and ripe, yet fresh and minerally. This wine always has signature black fruits and graphite. It is very full, yet light and minerally, yielding the impression of weight without heaviness. It will continue to develop for many years.
